Give me Alpha Zone and Breaking Point. I want to talk about that persistent thud when it starts, and penultimate chapters are always interesting. Also, Appendix 1.

*raises hand* Gamma Zone and Epsilon Zone are a bit longer than the other chapters: both are over 10000 words. Also, Appendix II is for the most part the same as the timeline from TSIASOS. Just so you know what you're getting into when you're picking those.

Thanks for the heads-up, although I wasn't expecting much value from the appendices anyway. At least judging by the entirely unnecessary and boring appendices for To Sleep.

I'm gonna volunteer for...say chapter ten and chapter 15, because it's five multiplied by two or three. It should be okay by the laws of what numbers are fine.

An egregious incident of showing, not telling. Alex is looking at the chats between Pushkin and Chen, and describes Pushkin as getting more and more incoherent, and thinks they are alarming. But we don't get to see ANY of them. Like NONE. What do the chats say? That's kind of important.

I read the whole thing yesterday. I think it's definitely better than To Sleep, and has some potential, but is way too long. It's a short story lengthened into a novel.

I'm 9th in line at the library, so I doubt I'll have it in time for this round of group sporkings, but I'll do a separate post on some of my thoughts after reading it.

That is, if I have any thoughts beyond, "Welp. It's pretty much what one expects from this author."

Might be worth putting a cap of one person per chapter next time if you want a lot of different people involved.

I'm about half way through the book and really don't have much to say sporking-wise, beyond a few rants here and there. The offer is appreciated though!
