What bugged me the most about the 'song' is that it's about nothing. Things are described, vaguely, but they're unrelated to each other. To look at it another way, the song "Brick" by Ben Folds Five was about the singer/lyricist lamenting the trauma of helping his highschool girlfriend get an abortion and how they both became depressed. Even a song as simple and lights on lyrics as "Levels" by Avicii has a coherent message and theme (it's about how sometimes he gets a good feeling that he never never never ever had before). This song, whatever it's called has neither a coherent story nor a coherent theme or feeling.
The elf song which shows up later has the same problem, which I'll go into more detail about when we get to it, but the short version is that it keeps flipping between "call to battle", the coming of a new rider, Arya's capture, and describing how pretty the forest is. There's just no focus.
