I should add that when Mara and I talked about Kira's Achilles tendon injury, he was in even more disbelief than I was, because he actually HAD this injury. He said he was in such excruciating pain that he couldn't even remember how to breathe. Never mind all the tears and screaming, he was just in so much pain that it felt like everything was short circuiting. He described it as: "it’s crippling, lol. Like it feels like your foot is just hanging there by the bone, basically, it hurts that bad. And even once you adjust to the pain, you can feel that your leg has almost no muscle connecting it to your foot. It’s...a really weird sensation."
