I am working on the assumption that Neghar is a klingon. Probably because I first read it as Negh'var. This book does not have, or ever get, my complete attention. So I dramatically overemphasize the 'g' really cough it out.

As for her leg. People do hella weird stuff to themselves sometimes. So I don't know.
