It's certainly gotten even more lifeless and soulless, which is probably half the reason why it's so paralysingly dull. The Cycle was often extremely boring, but never to this degree.

I found this as well. I do not understand how his writing cold have gotten worse. Practice may not make perfect but things should stay the same if not improve slightly. even if he was phoning it in I don't see why it should be worse then Brisngr or Inheritance.
