I know, right? It's just so surreal and over the top. Has Paolini never seen hornets, talked to someone who was attacked by hornets, or been attacked by hornets himself? He is WAY underestimating them. I've never been attacked by hornets, but a solitary bee sting is bad enough. Imagine dozens of them, and twice as big and painful.

The whole situation is just laughably overblown, like melodrama comedy, but Paolini expects us to read it straight.
