I'd argue that the comparison is invalid. Shandril & Narm aren't a couple. They're dolls and the person playing with them is smushing them together and making kissy sounds. No, really, they don't have a relationship. Kitlyn & Oona at least do have a relationship - it's a terrible relationship but they have one - so it's a couple vs a pair of dolls.
