I ended up getting the audio book version of Murtagh from Amazon because I have a free book with my prime account and I need something to listen to during my workday. This is the voice that they chose for Thorn. This is the official, audiobook version of Thorn.

I assume you meant for this to be a top level comment, but his name is Gerard Doyle and it looks like his audiobook experience has been a combination of children's books and mystery / thrillers. It looks like he did the rest of The Inheritance Cycle so now I'm curious to hear how he tackled Saphira and Glaedr.

In fairness a dragon's voice would probably be difficult to get right.

Wait, so he did all the other books? In that case he's definitely read how Thorn is supposed to sound. Inheritance is a pretty forgettable book, though, so I guess I can't really be surprised if he doesn't remember.
