I hated the way the character and his dragon were described, which was in a really condescending, nasty way complete with mocking the dragon's wimpy colour.

Oh, there's an even bigger retcon coming.

Also, I think it's more of the hate for ugly dragons coming back, rather than wimpyness, because a lot of people think of puce as a darker color (and I don't Paolini sees pinks like we do with this colorblindness, especially as he thought Durza having maroon eyes was a good idea). It's still mean-spirited, though. I also don't understand why elves, Paolini's superior race, tend to be slender (including the males), while when a male human character is slender, they get described in a derogatory tone... wait, Paolini just describes many of his villains like this. None of the good guys are allowed to be ugly.
