I'd be wary of sharing anything you hope to get published onto a public platform, because some publishers can be really fussy about "first publication rights"

Yes! That's my main issue with posting fictional works online. The publishers truly love getting the exclusivity to novels. Also I have borderline fears of my stuffs being stolen and republished by someone else. That shit is scary as hell.

I tried in the past with Wattpad. Although my short experience on this platform was positive, I do not think my works should be there, especially the most popular genres over there are teen romance and fanfiction. Yuck.
