 So, while Paolini's Eragon tv series doesn't seem to be taking off the ground at all, yet another author's book is. Rebecca Yarros, author of Fourth Wing, is officially getting a show green-lit by Amazon. She's going to be part of the show, apparently, but she's not writing it. She's just going to be an executive producer. She has also promised that her show isn't going to "make the same mistake as Game of Thrones" and "overtake" her books.

The mistake she was talking about is the show overtaking the books. Because Martin had only written up to like... a certain portion of the story, the final season of the TV show basically interpreted the notes he gave them to use and created the final season based on those. She's saying that she won't let Amazon make the same mistake, allowing the show to overtake her books, of which she only has three out, with more on the way.
