Worst Scene in the Inheritance Cycle

Which scene in the Inheritance Cycle is the absolute worst in the series.
In my previous one, my argument was that the worst scene is the one where Eragon murders a defenseless guardsman despite not needing to. However, I have since changed my mind. While the scene was horrific and permenantly established Eragon as a monster, at the very least I felt something. The scene induced emotion and had it been used properly it could have been utilized to tell the story of Eragon's fall from grace, followed by his karmic destruction and/or redemption.
The scene itself is perfectly fine. The problem was the context of the scene and what the intention behind it was. Paolini was trying to make Eragon into a badass anti-hero like Kratos. To this end he created a thinly disguised excuse for him to do something horrifying and tried to dodge the monstrous nature of the act by claiming it was necessary. Unfortunately, the justification was paperthin and little more than a hand wave. One that falls flat the moment you give any thought to it.
Nevertheless, in a better book it could have been a good scene. So it cannot qualify as the worst scene in the Inheritance Cycle.
No, the worst scene in the Inheritance Cycle must fulfill several criteria.
It must be wholly unnecessary to the plot.
It must be destructive to the viewers interest in the plot.
It must be poorly thought out and badly written.
It must actually be Paolini's creation. So no Belgariad ripoffs. Those aren't Paolini's scenes to begin with, so they get an honorable mention at best.
Wow, there are just so many to choose from.
For my part, I choose the scene where Arya acts smug to the dwarven priest. Not only is the scene totally irrelevant to the events of the plot, it also fails to achieve what it set out to do. The arguments on both sides are something out of grade school. It makes Arya unsympathetic and makes her look incompent, since she's a diplomat. It practically radiates smugness and it makes Eragon look like a moron.
I know that plenty of other scenes do all of these things. But this scene is the worst for the simple reason that it brings up religion. Paolini starts preaching on a subject that he doesn't understand, which is of immense personal importance to many people. Of all his stupid writings, Arya Vs Dwarven Priest is the only one that genuinely offends me. It is the place where his lack of research is the most unforgivable.
But maybe I'm wrong.
