Fun fact: Ignoring common grammatical words like to, the, and, and so on, the most frequent word in the whole book is, predictably, Kira, at 3723 uses.
(It's not really fair to include common English essentials, because then the top 10 words are all the, and, a, at, of, to, and so on, which is what you'd expect of every English language novel).
Followed by Falconi at a distant second with 1198 uses.
Followed by "jellies" at 980 uses, and "ship" at 869.

"Soft" just makes it onto the top 5 list at 615 appearances. Blade is even fewer, at 585 appearances.
So, to sum up: Kira gets mentioned over 3700 times, but the alien symbiote that inhabits her body and with whom she shares all her thoughts barely gets 558 matches (as a phrase). Even if you count both words separately, it's not even a third as much as Kira.
It's Eragon and Saphira all over again. A unique powerup that makes the main character special and Chosen, with whom she ostensibly communicates telepathically, and which barely gets a part in the story aside from propping up the main character.
