Which exposes one of Paolini's biggest problems - namely that he's trying to be a creative writer when he has very little imagination or creativity. Why else would he need to keep using other peoples' existing creations as a crutch? He couldn't even figure out how to off his big villain without resorting to ripping off someone else's villain death scene practically word for word.
