It’s a five-book series called The Others, by Anne Bishop. Technically, it’s soon to be eight books - the first five are a quintet collection, while the other three are stories in that same world but loosely affiliated with the characters from the quintet. And I should mention that the eighth book is going to be a continuation of the story from Book 6, so…
I’ll eventually be doing a rewrite of Eragon myself, and probably the Space Brick too, but it won’t be for a while yet.
