I know Consequence is a spit fic, but I love how it’s not just straight up hateful of even the worse book characters like Eragon, Saphira, Nasuada, Arya, etc. It just shows them for what they are.
Spitefic is mostly a term I used because that's where it started, but I think a better term to use now might be "Deconstruction Fic."
I love that a black female dragon was first to be born back into the world. It is a call back to Shruikan but it also downs Saphira’s role as the last female dragon.
This was intentional. Vanora and Verja are very deliberately meant to parallel both Galbatorix and Shruikan and Eragon and Saphira. The path they're on has been walked (and flown) before, but can they do it right this time and break the cycle?
