Very understandable for her to do it though. I would do the same thing.
It doesn't work for me because Paolini completely failed to make Galby the level of evil that would warrant erasing him, but also because Nausea gets over her "brutal" torture in a day so therefore I can't see her doing this because she's traumatised. Obviously it's common practise for new monarchs to do this in the real world but it just rubs me up the wrong way because it comes off like nothing but spite.
Given that Bachel has them, I think he's lying through his teeth.
I honestly didn't even remember that she has masks like this too, probably because of how utterly irrelevant it is.
