Hello everyone! I'm new to this community, and I'd like to introduce myself this way.
First some things about myself. I am from the Netherlands, where I live in Hoorn, a smallish city. I have been 18 for nearly 3 months now, and I go to high school, where I'm in last year.
Now for my history with The Inheritance Cycle. I first read it in the last class of primary school. I did quite like it then, although I never really reread it. Some years later, I bought all four books. I didn't really read in them, I only leafed through them sometimes. As soon as the WormFork book came it, I bought it. This time, my reaction was more moderate. It didn't grip me, and the Worm story was a slog.
Some time later, as I was looking on TV Tropes, I stumbled upon the Eragon Sporkings Wiki by Kippurbird. At first, I clung to the idea of the series I knew and loved, but soon I saw the series was sometimes pretty bad indeed. I also read the Epistles there.
I searched further and found this community. I immediately loved it and since then I've already sene nearly every post and read many of them. I came here in December and two days ago, I finally found the courage to sign up and comment. Now I'm very lucky to be aboard and comment and post as often as I can.
You can find me here nearly every day; I know most of you aren't able to do so, so please don't feel inconvenienced. 😁
I'm looking forward to whatever more may cross this community! (and also to April Fools :D).
By the way, I've never bought TSIASOS, and I'm happy I didn't. It would have been an utter waste of time and money.

Date: 2022-03-10 02:01 am (UTC)Welcome to our happy little hate group! I'm glad you enjoy our content. Our aim has always been to level fair and deserved criticism against an author we find creatively, linguistically, and ethically lacking.
I'm very interested to hear more about your experiences with the collected works of Paolini. You read the first book in school (or do you mean the entire series?), and then bought the rest of the series without reading them?
