[personal profile] epistler posting in [community profile] antishurtugal_reborn
Welcome to the new incarnation of Anti-Shurtugal! I am your host bus, The Epistler. (I've had to slightly alter my username because some other jerk snagged "theepistler" and all its variations, but rest assured that I am the real McCoy).

After years of mismanagement by largely absentee moderators and owners on the original LiveJournal version of AS, I and several other core members decided to leave. We're no longer prepared to put up with being owned by people who don't participate in the community and don't treat its members with respect. Nor are we happy about continuing to support LiveJournal given its appallingly homophobic new censorship rules, which the current Anti-Shurtugal management are apparently choosing to ignore.

At AS-Reborn we'll continue to educate and entertain and take bad books apart, just as we did back at LiveJournal. Trolls will not be tolerated, and nor will flaming. If the day comes that I'm no longer able to take care of the place, I'll hand the password over to a suitable replacement. But for now - may your sporks stay sharp!

My first post here.

Ultramega here.
So I didn't even know that Hackslayer existed in all my years lurking, or for the months I spent posting in Antishurtugal. Then all of a sudden she comes completely out of nowhere, bans two pillars of the community and started talking about how Antishurtugal was her 'legacy.' And also start badmouthing everyone else on the community. And also calling us toxic and small-minded for having fun with literary criticism. You know, the entire point of Antishurtugal.

I'd never once seen a single post from her in my time at Antishurtugal and the first thing she and her anonymous toadies did was start a flame war. I honestly wonder if she hadn't made those anonymous comments herself as a way to discredit the Epistler.

Frankly she reminds me of one of those premadonna authors who don't like that the audience has a different reaction to their works than intended and lashes out at them. At which point the audience jumps ship and moves on to other things.

Rather like I just did.

For better or for worse, Epistler, I'm with you and the others.
